Brance-Krachy distributes Baldor's line of explosion proof electric motors. Their single phase and three phase AC motor line has a horsepower range from 1/4 HP through 300 HP. UL and CSA listed explosion proof DC motors are designed for Class I Group D, and Class II Group F & G hazardous locations.

Leeson manufactures AC and DC explosion proof electric motors. AC single phase explosion proof motors come in a NEMA 56 frame with 1800 or 3600 RPM and a horsepower range of 1/3 to 2 or 1/2 to 2. Bluffton Motor Works manufactures 3 phase explosion proof AC motors. Motors are available in 3450 RPM, 1725 RPM, and 1140 RPM rated speeds, and a horsepower range of 1/4 HP to 3 HP. Most ratings have triple voltage (including 208 V) and dual frequency (60/50 Hz) capability. These explosion proof motors can operate in Class I Groups C & D and Class II Groups E, F & G hazardous locations.

Toshiba manufactures explosion proof AC motors available from frame sizes 143T to 447TZ, with voltage ranges of 230/460, 460 or 575 V, a horsepower range of 3/4 HP to 200 HP, and a rated speed of 3600, 1800, or 1200 RPM. These can be used in Class I, Group D; Class II, Groups E,F & G hazardous locations.

TECO Westinghouse manufactures a line of AC explosion proof motors. These 3 phase motors are for 60Hz with voltages of 230/460 V or 575 V. The 230/460 V model can be used for 208 V applications. The rated speeds available are 1200, 1800 & 3600 RPM. The horsepower range for the standard unit is 1 HP to 150 HP. Also available is a C face round body model that has a horsepower range of 1 to 100 HP.

Siemens manufactures an explosion proof AC motor with a cast iron housing. The rated speed for these motors would be 750 - 3600 min-1 or 900-3600 min-1 with a rated torque 0.3 - 10300 Nm or 1.5-1772 lb-ft. This line of explosion proof motors meet the standards of Class I, Group D; Class II, Groups F&G; and Division 1, hazardous areas. Applications include the oil industry, chemical plants, gas works, agriculture or plastic and wood processing industries.
