Oriental Motor offers a broad selection of linear motors. The PK Series of 0.36 and 0.72 degree stepping motors are 0.79" to 3.35" large and RoHS Compliant, and also feature a new pentagon (bipolar) 5-lead wire. Their holding torques start at 0.078 N-m and top out at 6 N-m. The PK Series also comes in 0.9 and 1.8 degree models, with unipolar and bipolar connects (4, 5 and 9 lead wire). Lastly, the company offers a variety of AC and DC input stepping motors packaged with drivers, featuring closed-loop configurations and built-in controllers.

H2W Technologies offers an array of linear motor choices. Their 3-phrase, brushless DC motors are ideal for long-stroke, closed-loop servo, and linear motion applications, and can be used at speeds up to 240"/sec, and capable of force to 1,068 N. Linear brush motors are also available for similar applications, from 1"/sec to 100"/sec.

Three types of linear motors are produced by Hiwin. Synchronous units come in two series: the iron-core LMS and coreless LMC. LMS units can supply between 188 and 741 N of continuous force, while LMC motors offer force from 31.5 to 131.3 N. Customized linear motors include the X-Y Stage, with 188 N upper axis thrust and 314 N lower axis thrust.

MagneMotion manufactures linear motors with its patented Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) technology. These units can handle payloads ranging from ounces to tons in almost any environment. The QuickStick 500HT offers high thrust for heavy payloads and high speeds up to 10,000 pounds and 4 m/s, with acceleration up to 2 G (payload dependent) and repeatability at any location +/-1 mm. The QuickStick 100 is for high throughput for smaller payloads and can handle up to 200 pounds, reaches speeds up to 2.5 m/s, and achieves repeatability +/-0.5 mm at any location.
