Synchrony makes high speed motors and generators, such as their NovaGen / NovaDrive 100 oil-less drie train, running at 100kW with 60,000rpm on 480VAC, as well as their 400 model, running on 400kW at 20,000 rpm on 480VAC. The 400 model allows you to eliminate a gearbox, an oil lubricating system which would lead to flammable and contaminating materials.
